Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
1.Introduction & Scope
Padozi LLC ("Padozi," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Padozi mobile application, the website at https://padoziapp.com, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2.Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information. When you sign up, we collect your email address (the primary identifier used for email one-time-code sign-in), real (legal) name, screen name, date of birth, and language preference. If phone sign-in is enabled and you choose it, we also collect your mobile phone number. Your real name is shown to recipients of direct messages you send. Businesses additionally provide a business name (DBA), brand name, business address, business category, and business phone number.
- Profile Information. Optional information you add to your profile, such as a saved Home and Work location, neighborhood radius preference, and notification settings.
- Content You Post. Drops, Deals, Events, Jobs, Spills, replies, direct messages, photographs, and any other content you submit through the Service.
- Communications With Us. Information you provide when you contact support, including your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Device and Usage Information. Device type, operating system, application version, IP address, time zone, and general usage data (e.g., which screens you visit, when you open the app).
- Location Information. With your permission, we use your device's GPS to determine your precise location (latitude and longitude coordinates) so we can show you neighborhood-relevant content. This is classified as "precise location" data by Apple and Google. You may revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies. On our website, we use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and analyze traffic.
- Crash & Diagnostic Data. When the app crashes or encounters an error, we collect diagnostic information — device model, OS version, app version, and a technical stack trace — through Sentry to diagnose and fix problems. We have disabled the collection of personally identifying data in these reports.
Information From Third Parties
- Messaging and Push Service Providers. We use third-party providers to deliver verification codes and notifications on our behalf, including Twilio (SMS one-time passcodes), Resend (email one-time passcodes), and Expo Notifications (which relays push notifications to Apple Push Notification Service and Firebase Cloud Messaging). These providers process your email address, phone number, or device token solely to deliver messages on our behalf.
3.How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your Padozi account
- Send you one-time SMS or email verification codes when you sign in or sign up
- Send you push notifications about deals, events, RSVPs, direct messages, and Spills threads you have joined
- Display geo-relevant content (Drops, Deals, Events, Jobs, Spills) within your chosen neighborhood radius
- Provide the Service's core functionality, including AI-assisted headline generation, content translation, and Buzz features (powered by Groq / Llama 3.3)
- Provide business accounts with aggregate engagement analytics for their own posts, including the screen names of users who interacted with those posts (saves, RSVPs, replies, and profile visits)
- Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, spam, or violations of our Terms of Service
- Comply with legal obligations
- Improve the Service and develop new features
4.Mobile Messaging Terms (SMS)
Padozi currently verifies accounts by email. The SMS program described in this section applies only when phone sign-in is enabled; until then, no SMS messages are sent and no mobile phone number is collected for this purpose.
Program Description
Padozi LLC operates an Account Verification SMS program ("Padozi"). The program sends one-time passcodes ("OTP" or "verification codes") via SMS to allow users to verify their phone number and sign in to the Padozi mobile application.
Opt-In
You opt in to receive SMS messages from Padozi LLC by downloading the Padozi mobile application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, entering your phone number during sign-up, and tapping "Send code" to consent to receive a one-time verification text message.
Message Frequency
Messages are event-driven and sent only when you request them. You will typically receive one (1) SMS message per sign-in attempt. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.
Carrier Charges
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and plan. Padozi LLC is not responsible for any carrier charges incurred as a result of using the Service.
Opt-Out
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages from Padozi at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent. To resume receiving messages after opting out, you must re-initiate sign-in within the Padozi app.
Help
For help, reply HELP or INFO to any message you receive from us. You can also email support@padoziapp.com or visit https://padoziapp.com/support.
Supported Carriers
AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Cricket, MetroPCS, and most other U.S. wireless carriers.
Mobile Information Sharing
Mobile information, including phone numbers and any data collected as part of the SMS opt-in process, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing for SMS purposes is strictly limited to the SMS service providers (such as Twilio) that we use to deliver messages on our behalf, and only to the extent necessary to deliver those messages.
6.Anonymity in Spills
Spills (community threads) are designed so that other users see only your chosen screen name, never your real name or phone number. We collect your phone number for account verification only; it is never displayed publicly.
7.Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specific retention rules:
- Most Spills threads expire automatically (typically within about 48 hours) of inactivity and are deleted from public surfaces; some Spills may remain until the author deletes them.
- Drops are removed from the public feed when their expiry window ends (up to approximately 48 hours after posting).
- Direct messages are retained as long as your account is active, unless you delete them.
- Phone number and account records are retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days after account deletion for fraud prevention purposes, after which they are permanently deleted.
- SMS delivery logs (timestamps, delivery status — no message content) are retained for 30 days for service-quality and abuse-prevention purposes.
You may request account deletion at any time by emailing privacy@padoziapp.com.
8.Your Rights and Choices
All Users
You may access, update, or delete your account information — including your real name, screen name, email address, and phone number — at any time from within the Padozi app. You may revoke location or notification permissions at any time in your device settings.

10.Security
